The growth of AJTE – Infographic

I created my first infographic with Infogr.am! It’s a great tool, and they gave me a free pro trial when I sign up, so why not? =)

In this infographic I want to show the growth of an open access journal, the Australian Journal of Teacher Education. With a focus on its branching out from mainly publishing Australian content to a strong international coverage since it became an online open access journal.

hot off the press!

p.s. I spent quite a bit of time exploring the free online tools, each of them offer something different and none of them are perfect for what I want to do. For example, with infogr.am, I’m restricted to the format of the template, I cannot resize the fonts or width of the graphs, I can’t use my own graphics either. But the benefit of infogr.am is that you can import your data and easily generate pretty looking charts for your infographic. While tools like easel.ly allows you to start from a blank canvas and insert a wide range of “pre-loaded” objects and graphics, it doesn’t have the ability to generate charts and graphs.
